The idea for my three to four minute documentary is highlighting child abuse. This will centre around the story of a friend of mine who's identity will not be revealed., and will be be based around an interview telling the story accompanied by visual shots e.g, outside shots, close ups of the family doing everyday things (not revealing identities) and generally trying to show that no matter how bad you suffer you can always find a silver lining around the corner and that is the point of this documentary, to try and reach out to those effected by abuse and tell them that they are not alone and that it isn't the end for them. This documentary will also try and discuss the effects of the events on not just the victims but the surrounding family and how it effected them. It will also show them with their lives now and how they have moved on.
Primary and secondary target audience
The primary audience is going to be those who have suffered from abuse; the secondary target audience is the general public as an informative piece to raise awareness.
Purpose/aims of the documentary
To raise awareness for those who have suffered/suffer from abuse give information about it and show them they are not alone. Also to raise awareness around the general public.

Possible constraints
There is a possible future problem that people may not want to watch the documentary because of the ethics of the idea. The interviewee my also become distressed and terminate the interview which could prevent the completion of the documentary.
